Help a friend out. Car will crank but won't start.

CRX D16A6 all stock in a CRX Si 90

Fuel pump works with 1/2 tank of gas
Car getting spark
Timing is top dead center
No CEL
Replaced spark plugs

Compression
1: 180
2: 80
3: 120
4: 60


Still won't start. Any other tips?

 

pour a little oil down the spark plug holes. If the compression goes up and the compression numbers are closer to being the same on all cylinders, your rings could be going out. If it doesn't change by much or at all, it's more likely your top end. Either way, with compression numbers like that you'll probably need to look into rebuilding your engine or a head gasket.

 

Are you sure your getting fuel to the cylinders? Might wanna check the line or see if the plugs smell like gas. Im currently having a similar problem.

 

You need fuel/air mixture spark and compression for the engine to run.It looks like your problem is compression.

ya ether u got junk rings or bent valve' like he said ' poor little in cylinfers try comp again dont bump them up time for a 1.7 stroker
