S40 (d16y8): Clutch Won't Build Pressure?
Came unto a problem with a 97 Ex transmission;Clutch wont engage after a proper bleed.
Parts Replaced Already:
Brand new Clutch kit
Brand new slave cylinder
Brand new throw out bearing
Clutch Master Cylinder checked out great
After all of the above replaced the clutch fork still seems to have too much play and the clutch still remains stuck at floor board if pressed in. I can't figure the ish out after searching all over the net for a few days and the Haynes Manual. Any Experienced input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

did you put the throw out bearing on the fork? Ive seen them installed and slip off. is your clutch in properly? both can cause the fork to flop around in the tranny., re check all the simple dumb things first, b4 u start to rip it apart. good luck keep us posted
Have you checked the hydraulic lines. IE are they all tight, no leaks anywhere. Also I see you gave a proper bleed, does the pedal build its pressure and then after a few pumps it sticks to the floor? or does it always stick to the floor even after bleeding? if the pedal still sticks to the floor then it could be the bearing not being on the fork properly like stated before. Also re-check all the new parts and make sure everything is together properly.
Another issue can be is that over time alot of hydrualic lines are rubber and over time crack etc and then they have the ability to expand and will not get enough pressure to actuate the clutch.
When you push the clutch pedal, does the slave cylinder rod move and try to push the fork at all?

ive actually seen this twice with exedy clutches, put them in and have nothing. cant explain why but it happens. i took everything apart again exchanged it and the new exchanged clutch worked fine.... needless to say i was at a loss for words with that.
