greddy 18G output??
I currently have a boosted d16z6 and i'm running the 18G on 10psi making 220-230whp, the only upgrades i've done to the engine are the fuel system. This winter i plan on pulling out the motor and building everything from the ground up..full valvetrain with pistons and rods, i want to make about 350-400whp..will the 18G get this done for me? or is a new turbo what i'm going to need?
Barely. But its pushed outside of its arena if you don't make about $200 in changes at least for just getting the 350whp. Forget about the 400whp. won't happen. Time to upgrade to a GT3071R or GT3076R that have internally gated T25 flanging. it is available.
Upgraded actuator, Reworked and modified gate opening and flapper door, and porting of the turbine inlet. so about $200 est. But that's for the 350whp mark at over 15psi or so. So you'll need some sort of boost controller as well.

yeah. that's fine and has been done. the OP wanted to know ways of improving HP without going external. the issue of cost wasn't relative to his inquiry.
i think with a built motor its possible but u need to go external wg and you will have to get a ramhorn manifold and a t3 to t25 adapter...i made 295 hp with my stock b16 with my internal wg 18g at about 16psi, then i went external wg and thats all i changed and made 350hp on the same stock b16 at 15lbs, now i have a fully built 84mm b16 and didnt change the turbo setup and have made 430hp at 15lbs with the 18g and still have to finish tuning out to 23-24psi, so it is possible with this turbo to make some good numbers, i bought my turbo for $300 so not bad lol...good luck
I have the same kit and wouldn't mind crankin' up the boost
Would i be able to send my maniforld assy to you to perform these necessary mods??
We can keep this to pm's if you'd like
aright here's a better question then...what kind of horsepower can i expect to make if i leave everything as is, upgrade my injectors, build my block/head, and then max out the 18G with the actuator and everything the way it is now??
Without those changes to the turbo, doing what you plan won't help as the turbo will be very restricted. PM me.
