Default 1949cc 260 whp KingMotorsports

I figured I would make a thread specifically for this engine. Here was the thread that originated it. https://honda-tech.com/forums/all-motor-naturally-aspirated-44/kingmotorsports-modded-performer-x-thread-2873074/

1949CC (83.5x89)
13.8:1 compression
VP MS109
S2 Pro 3's
62mm Type R throttle body
KingMotorsports PX mod V2
Toda header
KingMotorsports Ultra build with hand ported head

^^what he said, very impressive!

I'm building a similar sized engine my self. Will be done in a month or two.
1980cc (85*87.2), 13.5:1 CR, jenvey ITBs, pr3 head with type-r valves (ported locally), custom bisi header, but only Pro 2 cams (just went with what we had from last season). Will run on E85 from the local gas station, or a mix of E85 and regular pump gasoline.

Hoping for 240+whp.

2.5" exhaust back to the rear control arm. This is how the car will be run in competition.

peak piston speeds getting to high to rev anymore?

it's kind of scary that power is still going up.

awesome tq curve!

No that isn't a problem, but it is a new engine no reason to rev it much more yet.

This car is just a test chassis. Engine is being shipped over seas. Power steering and AC are not hooked up.

sorry to get slightly off topic ... have u ever tested the power loss of PS and AC being hooked up by any chance ?

i read that u can keep the AC belt on ( have the system off ) and just take off the power steering belt for minimal gains .. any truth in this ?

94-01 integra and 92-00 civic usually gain 3-4 whp without the PS belt. DA's usually make a few more.

I think that the best part, is that the motor itself is not "overdone" look wise. It is purely purpose built.

You guys don't waste any time switching motors in and out of the test car. I can tell that the higher compression makes a big difference, nice graph!

Was there a difference, that you could tell, between v1 and v2 of the modified px?

good build, props on the results

we did a very similar build w/ the differences being 83.0mm bore, little less compression for pump gas and different intake and exhaust manifolds w/ 70mm tb. power and tq were nearly identical.

alot of people overlook the little b series engines but they can make great power if you know what your doing

Very impressive and simple set-up!!
I just want to ask what injectors are you using? and if would be a big difference in numbers if you were using 93 US pump gas (about the same with European 100 octane gas) instead of race fuel?

I can see that you using stock fuel rail and FPR.

I have a similar set-up (building in process) with 13.5:1+ C/R, PRO 2, 84.5*87.2 (1956cc), Toda header and 62mm T/B with Skunk2 V1 manifold.....I hope for 230-240 whp

I have from my old 1.8 set-up, AEM fuel rail, RC 320 P&H injectors and everythink else stock (OBD 0 ECU..is a CRX) and my tunner told me that will be fine with my new B19 set-up!!!???

Yes. Class rules say the plate needs to stay 62mm but can be modified before and after. This throttle body is a spoon throttle body, (Thanks Paul). We did put a 68mm throttle body on it and it wasn't worth anything on the dyno but it felt better.

I really don't think there is a difference between the two or enough to make a difference. The runners are the same length. The plenum may be a hair bigger. It is just easier to make so it can be sold at a reasonable price.

I am happy to see it go to good use. I should be thanking you for all of the work and testing you guys do and then sharing it with the community. Thanks!

Yeah, I am sure the awesome tuning makes a bigger difference than the difference between the two versions of the px. It sure seems like there is a bit of work involved either way.

Just to fulfill my itch to test the victor x myself. Would you show me some charts of a modded Vx vs Unmodded? also pics would be great. I was wondering what type of gains could be had by modifying the Vx (cut open and ported) would i sacrifice alot more bottome in to gain slightly higher hp?

Any clue as to what the price is for a modded performerX?

I'm building a 2.1L 12.5:1 compression B and was wondering if this would suit me better or a ported victorX
