Hey guys i have a 92 prelude and my cruise control will not work. The green light on the button will work, but nothing happens. idk what else to do, i checked the fuses and they were ok. so now what?

 

I have the same problem... cruise worked when I bought the car. That I changed out the head, now no cruise. The light comes on, but it no worky.

 

The honda service manual has a cc section with a procedure to diagnose
problems with the system, i would recommend using it. If you dont have
the manual you can download one for free on spoonertuner.com.

 

The cruise servo is vacuum driven, perhaps the vacuum hose is missing/disconnected.

 

same thing with me. I bought the car from my brother, he claims it works but I never tested it, than I changed the timing belt and now nothing, green light turns on but it doesnt cruise

 

Remove it. lol jk. If I wasnt doing a full shave and wire tuck I would have kept it. But I removed it including everything else thats extra.

 

Check the vacuum line for leaks, and check the clutch pedal sensor. There's a plastic tab that usually breaks off. Easy way to test is put the car in neutral and try to start it. If the tab is broken the car will start because it thinks the clutch pressed in

 

Also when you engage it, make sure your foot is completely off the clutch pedal. I used to have my foot just barely touching the pedal and cc wouldnt engage. Kind of obvious but just in case
