Default h22a obd2 build

alright already have I/H/E for my 97 h22a JDM motor, looking to upgrade for more power. was looking at skunk 2 head build and cams. skunk2 valvetrain and skunk2 cams, and cam gears + skunk2 intake mani. then tune it on hondata 300.

friend said that the skunk2 setup would eat up the cams in like 7000 miles and its not reliable? not sure what i wanna do? any ideas? was also looking at just a jrsc and be done with it. any ideas? thx how much power gain with the head build?

Fixed for you.

As previously stated, this has been covered numerous times in depth and there is not really any point in making another thread about it. Do your research and figure it out; don't expect to be spoon-fed here for vague questions like that.

FYI it's usually not the cams that get eaten up; they do the eating up (of the rocker arms). This is generally more of a problem with the pro series line from the aggressive ramp, so stick with the 'tuner' series if you don't want to sweat it.

Also, if you want help, we need to know what you are building for (street, strip, road race, etc)/powerband goals. Also, what does your I/H/E consist of? I'll bet you can find a good bit of power by doing this the right way and complementing any headwork you have done.

I'm running my pro series stage II cams with no problem and it's been more than 7K mi on mines. I beat on it every weekend as well; The rockers are smooth as glass. It all depends on the Lubrication and how often the interval gets done.
