ok so i bought an ef for 500 bucks the interior is cool the outside is horrible but it has a first gen ls with a b16 tranny so of course something is wrong with it at first my homie said it was the distributor because he said he ran that thing until there was no gas and it was running fin till one of my other homie took the distributor off the ef and put it on his. SO i replace that and still it dont turn on when i try to turn it on its like its about to start but it wont :/ Im thinking its the fuel pump cause i pulled that fuel line hoes or whatever and it supposed to squirt fue out right and nothing the car has about 3 gallons in there so right now im thinking its the fuel pump so i bought one im installing it now today i dropped the tank but i cant take the fuel pump out?? Help me out if you guys have any ideas thanks

 

For starters, for the love of God learn how to use puncuation such as commas and periods. So despite the fact that I cannot understand 3/4 of your post, what do you mean you can't get the fuel pump out? You don't understand how? You cant break the nuts loose? You have the nuts off and can't pull it up? If you have the tank dropped and the nuts removed, take a flathead and GENTLY pry up from all the sides. The rubber gasket will usually cake itself on there pretty good. Also, I sure hope you checked your main relay before you did all this work....

 

What distributor did you buy? one for a LS or one for a EF?
Sounds like you didnt trouble shoot very well....you could have tried another fuel hose just because the one didnt spray anything.

 

This is how I trubble shoot a no start problem. 1st. Check your timing. 2nd.do you got spark. 3rd. do you got fuel. 4th. Do you got compression. Then go from there.....

 

should have checked if your pump primed first. and i agree with tony

 

Like others have asked,have you done any kind of tests to see what is wrong?
If so tell us what you have done so we can help you better.

 

i've never personally seen a honda fuel pump go bad!..just sayin

check connection under rear seat mine melted itself(91 si completly stock 124k miles). also check that the main relay under dash(they go bad all the time).

 

See the problem i have is it will turn over just fine, start 1st or second crank. But it'll only run for a second. Literaly. it hits 1k rpm then cuts out. after finessing it for awhile i get it to start up.
I have no idea whats going on
