Does a rear camber adjust change toe?
i did the washer trick in the rear on one side only because my camber was crazy on one side all after i had an alignment done like 3 months ago. now should i go back and re align?
Yup, possibly bent upper or lower control arms, bent trailing arm, or bent sub frame. happened to me when I did a rear disk swap, the guy failed to tell me the rear slid into a curb, the trailing arm was tweaked a little bit.
it wasnt a lot like my description might have meant lol.
i added 2 washers. maybe half a centimeter? i dont know how many degreed but i read 2 washers is like 1 degree. do shops do alignment checks?

I was able to pull almost a full degree of negative camber useing 2 washers.
YES, take your car and have it aligned, camber changes toe.
When I did mine, my toe chnaged and needed to be re-aligned.

Just to give you guys a hint, before it did the washer trick I had -2.7 and -2.8 degrees of camber and my toe was set at .14 and .10. After doing it, my camber went to -1.9 and -2.0 and my toe was .18 and .03.
This was with 2 washers, on each bolt.
With that said, you need to have you car, or atleast the rear re-done.
Op, I have a question though, you wouldnt happen to know how many washers you can run, untill you need longer bolts would you? I was told 4-5, but I really dont trust the source, and I would like to run another, or 2 more washers.

the most is 2 bro. i just read a dude bolts broke.
was the toe you are showing positive or negative? if its positive, it went more "toe in" on one side but it went outward on the other? i dont get it. ill get a source for the washer ammount tho.
also i think more than like 5 with longer bolts is kinda dangerous cause the bolt does have support in or out but much less up or down so it might break

Yea if anything ill buy a blox camber kit or something and switch the bushings, should be ok then
Negative would have a - in front of it lol
For some reason the pass side rear always go crazy, why I can't answer?
The thing with that is, its firestone. I had asked for the rear to be set at .05 which is about the bottom of OE spec. He doubled it
I'll double check later this afternoon, just pull 12 hours of inventory, so if it doesn't make sence sorry.

^ thanks.
i thought id never get camber wear but i did on a brand new set of tires even though i had it aligned. i am tucking a quatrer of the rear tire 195 50 15 and half in the front. maybe you should specify in your thread that the "0 toe no camber wear" doesnt apply to lower than functional height lol

My most recent time, they were rude and really not that smart. You just need to take it different firestone stores and find one you like and stick with it.
I still don't understand how he could mess up the setting I asked for, when he was told several times and it was writen down for him to see.
damn so i guess its not just my local shop.
do they leave it whithin spec? have you had any trouble? i read nightmare storys about them. (leaving **** lose etc)

2-3 hours for an alignment?! That is nuts. Are you guys runing camber kits?
Or, were you asked to leave your car with them for a little while?
Sence I was 16 I havent had a place take that long, even with camber kits the longest it took was 1.5 hours. That was simply do the rear camber kit was seized and they were working to try and get loose.

No, my car is stock which SHOULD take way less time because camber is not adjustable, but even if they only got one car waiting, they still say the same thing.
Weird though, last time I got it done (last week), they left the rear passenger camber a little off spec and they said it was the torn BLOX LCA bushings, so I'm replacing those this weekend and then retaking it

The problem with toe kits is that each rear toe compensator arm ends up being a different length, which means each side of the rear will have a different toe curve. This can result in different handling characteristics for left vs. right cornering.
yeah i guess somethings messeed up because like i said b4 i had to add 2 washers to that same side to compensate camber differences.
heres the specs
FRONT
toe -.01 and .08
camber -4.9 and -3
REAR
toe -.12 and .15
camber -4.9 and -4.4
as you can see im kind of low. so should i get the kit? i also dont understad how one side is positive and the other neggative (toe) on the rear and the toe adjusters are both maxxed out all the way to the outside on each side

i also think im gonna try another shop because they did not want to compensate my weight i weight like 250 lbs. and the car lowers like a quarter of an inch
Ummm, hold up.
Why do you have -4.4, and than -3 degrees of camber? I suspect something is wrong.
Also, crap you have a lot of camber.
Your toe numbers are still in spec, No theres noithing wrong with it, but yea, firestone has a terrible time with listening.
I had a problem with that as well. You basicly need to get an alignment twice becuase they wont do it the first time.
So you added 2 washers and still -4+? Damn, how low are you?
EDIT- do you have a 96-00? If you do, your toe is in spec, if not, I have no idea.
