dizzy wont read past 5k rpm
ok what i have is a 99 honda civic si with a gsr swap. the motor is a 94 gsr motor converted to a obd2 running on a 96 jdm ecu. the problem i am having is that when i reinstall the new dizzy it wont read past 5k rpm. it would keep going but the tech would go all the way down to zero. this is the second dizzy i bought and did the same thing. when i reinstall my old one back on it would go all the way to redline. the reason why i bought a new dizzy because my old one has the internal seal leak. Can anybody help me out figure it out?
.. Best bet then would be to put the "guts" from your stock distributor into the new housing and call it a day. The problem you are seeing is usually from $h!tty ignition modules on aftermarket distributors.
try swapping out the coil from my stock one and the car ran like ****. put the new one all back together and now the car has no spark. i dont know what to do anymore, no fuse are blown.
