Default is it ok to drive with the code p1298 on a o3crv

i have a o3 crv, been driving with the check engine light on for 3 weeks, with the code p1298, it runs fine but is that ok? honda says they have a good will service to fix the ELD, if the car warranty has expire, any one know if they will honor it?

It's generally not a problem to drive the car, but it can cause minor electrical issues such as headlight flicker.

Only your Honda dealer can answer that.

Even if they don't, it's not exactly an expensive or difficult repair. The replacement part costs $29 and it takes less than a half hour to install with basic hand tools.
