did a search nothing comes up, it's basically an h22 with a lot of goodies, will it drop in my 94 acccord ex?????? has anyone done it yet on there 5th gen????

so there really won't be a big problem dropping them in, cuz someone told me that u can only drop h22's from 92-96 preludes, they said those 97 and ups won't really work and i'm like an h22 is an h22, same size. Just wondering if that 2001 euro accord R motor is gonna be a problem to put in?????? it's basically an h22..

 

Yes it is. However, you may want to consider getting a regular H22A, which is cheaper than the H22A7 from the ATR. That way you can modify it yourself and get the same performance for less money.

 

what year h22a though? also i heard the tranny on the h22a7 is way better, closer gear ratio's and lsd...and the tranny off a regular h22 is not all that? what do h22 accords run in 1/8th or 1/4th mile?

Look for the 92-95 models, since they are closed deck and OBDI, which is easier for you to swap in.

UPDATE: ordered Cam gears from Southern Performance and will be there today. One day shipping since they are so close. thank god...
Got downpipe and will keep going on install tonight. now we just have less time because of work .. but will be done this week

 

It probably would be easier for you to just buy an OBDI h22 (since the euro-r is OBDII), find a tranny from a euro-r, accord type-r, or prelude type-s, the euro-r intake manifold, get type-s cams/springs, port and polish, etc.

Try http://jdmhondaparts.com, they carry most of these parts, and the euro-r h22 if you still want one, I plan on eventually doing it in my 97.

btw, 5th gen accords usually run mid 14s-low 15s with an h22 swap, do some research next time, theres tons of info here about this.

The Type S prelude has ATTS. The Prelude with the LSD is the SIR S-spec.

yea i did a search, couldn't really find anything bout times on an H22 accord. I'm bout to be stationed at germany so i'll some goodies up there for my accord. Let us know how that h22a7 swap goes POPE....i probably will trade my accord in for a 240sx and do some s15 work on that sukah....
