squeaky axle problem

Here is the problem (again for the second time). The end of the axle closest to the knuckle has a metal cover over over it. I believe Honda calls it a dust cover. That metal piece comes loose from the axle and kinda floats between the axle and where it meets the spindle. This in turn makes a grinding sound almost like your brake pads are grinding on the rotors while driving. Has anyone else ever had this problem? I just hate tio have to pull it all apart to "snap" the cover back on. Maybe it needs some glue to hold it in place.
Thoughts? Im guessing my only option is to take it all apart again, and figure how to keep it attached to the axle.

Could always take it apart like you said. And just remove the dust ring. But not highly recomended. Or try a little bit a jb weld to hold it in place would be better then glue lol

Thats what I figured, I just was hoping someone had a marvel idea that would solve the problem without taking it apart. Looks like I have a project for sunday now.
well it isnt attatched to the axle it snaps into the steering knuckle. just leave it off. not a big deal. taking those dust rings off is required when swappin in a b series so its no prob leaving it off. my axles are fine without it
