hey guys need help with my rpm i have a 95 civic the problem is that my rpm wont work what can i check to find the problem ?

 

That tachometer won't work?

 

everything else works its just the rpm messing up

 

"Doesn't work" and "messing up" doesn't tell us anything. Can you be more detailed as to the nature of the problem?

 

The tach get rpm signals from the blue wire attached to the igniter unit inside the distributor. Check the blue wire for continuity and a short. If it's fine, have an auto parts store test the igniter unit itself. If that's also fine, then the tach or cluster may be bad.

 

oh ok thanks i check that out yeah cause when am moving the rpm stays in 0 it doesn't move at all thanks alot guys sorry if i got you kinda mixed up lol it's just that am new to this things
