Default distributor help

I got an obd1 distributor when I bought my engine. It has no code on it and looks brand new. If its for a civic can I use it on my B18a1? any difference between civic and integra distributors

Idk if u can use it. I do know there different sizes. U might be able to use it, i mean if u get a way to get in there then it should fire up. The ls dizzys fit in the sohc heads by breaking off 1 of the legs.

Yea thats how i see it too so it must work since it works the other way around too. from what i've read on older forums is that the dizzy's are all universal. Just that the plugs change and how they sit.

you could easily do an obdI conversion, that dizzy will work just fine.

You will need the newer ecu (pr4 or p75), and a 4 wire heated o2 sensor

You can only get one or two of the bolt holes to line up right but it will work. I've tested an OBD0 b18 dizzy on my d16....it worked just fine, but just don't make it a permanent fix.

You know, i asked you earlier about the dizzy stamping....i have no idea why you ignored my advise!

You can take that number and google it, it will tell you right away it's application

It will be a TD #

I know these are simple questions but I want to make sure Im being honest when I sell my dizzy's. Can i take the dizzy cap from the obd1 b series dizzy and put it on the obd0 d series dizzy without any changes in the working of the dizzy?

no. obd1 & odb2 caps/rotors are interchangeable (except for gsr and type r distributors). you can swap the following caps and rotors:
92-01 B18A/B
93-95 B16A3 (del sol vtec model)
96-97 B16A2 (from the del sol, i think it goes to 98? but im not positive in that)
99-00 B16A2 (from civic si)
92-00 D-series
(this applies to tec distributors. 96-00 hx civic has a different cap, hitachi made)

B18C1/5 have a slightly bigger/bulkier cap.
