If you have aftermarket springs and retainers then your good.
Make sure you get the cam gears and have them adjust to the correct degree of opening.
And call around maybe some shop can dyno tune ur car using the vafc

you spent all that money on cams and you're going to get gears. you already have an aftermarket throttle body...

get a tunable ECU before you mess that motor up.

Just get an OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness and run a P28 chipped ECU so you can get it tuned right.

Your car will make some good power with those S2S2 cams. Its only recommended to use Skunk2's own valvetrains with their cams, but other valvetrains such as Supertech, etc will work. Just gotta make sure the spring pressure will work with the High Lift cams so the valvetrain components won't prematurely wear out.

I would try to find out what seat pressure your enginedynamics valve spring is. Best thing to do is call them and ask if it's safe to run the valve springs & retainers with Skunk2 Stage 2 cams.

You can't just slap any aftermarket valve spring thinking its safe to run any high lift cams. You gotta search and ask around first like you do now which is a good idea if it's safe to run these valvetrain with the cams. Good Luck!

OP already said he has to keep it OBD2.

Stock valves will be more than fine; I have heard from several sources they actually flow better than aftermarket valves.

You won't bend valve unless you are running with the Pro2 cams with a tight valve to valve clearance, high compression pistons w/o doing p2v check, or snap your timing belt. You can run the S2 flat face valve to bump your compression up a bit, but won't do no harm or bend valves.

OEM Honda valves are strong.

Yeah. Flat face instead of dished top you mean. My plan was to go with a 11.5:1 CR build but that won't happen anytime soon as I got other crap to take care of.

The only pistons you can go with the stock FRM sleeves are the Mahles Gold Series and/or the JDM Type S pistons.

ok spec SK2 stage 2 tuner cams max lift 0.505 intake and 0.469 exhuast the springs l have from JGEnginedynamics is .650

now obviously l will have plenty clearance but will that lift being so high on springs cause any probs? such as valve float or anything else

I'd call them to confirm it as I have no idea and never heard of those valve springs before. Better be safe than sorry.
