Legal 100ft Drag racing on Long Island ?
For those of you that live on or around Long Island. Riverhead Raceway is doing a new thing called 100Ft drags,The series is called HDRA (Holeshot Drag Racing Association) yes that's what i said "legal" 100Ft drag racing is back on Long Island. I know it sound kinds of weird but if your in an area that doesn't have a real track this is something that might just get you curious. so what do you think

I suppose it's better than nothing but it's certainly close to nothing, particularly if you own a FWD you would get slaughtered by every RWD car on a biaply or even a radial.

Tuesday and Friday Nights under the lights at Riverhead raceway. Its not much but I'm sure with a strong show of support the strip will grow in size as the legal backing will also. A strong showing of cars in the pits and asses in seats selling tickets will get the ball rolling.

Drags are scheduled for Sunday afternoons. Being that its a circle track that hasn't been resurfaced in prob 20+ years I'm not sure how much traction most people will get on launches. Fwd cars might have a better chance than most people are thinking. I'm out there enough to begin with I might try it out.
