Default Another B20 query

Hello guys
Yesterday i've got myself a b20b3 block
i am planing on dropping a ycp 84mm pistons in it as well as some arp rod bolts and acl race bearings.
I am planning on revving no higher than 8k since my head is a pr3 with itr valvetrain and gsr valves and i dont think it will make power in higher rpms anyway
So my question is am i gonna be ok and what to epxpect from such a poor build
Thank you very much in advance

hi guys
My engine is ready now
84mm ycp 11:5:1
type r cams and valves
aebs intake with 64mm tb
walbro 255 pump stock b16 fuel regulator and injectors
some 4-1 header on 2,5" exhaust
i am running on stock b16a2 map from the p30 ecu
however the car runs really weak my b16 was way faster
i am still runing on the first oil since the break in
my question is do you guys think that it is all about tunning from now on or have i messed up with the setup

Ps: the engine is working perfectly, not burning oil or any ****

Thank you in advance

DEF get off of that stock map and get it tuned. Some more aggressive cams like pro2s have been proven time and time again to make great power on 2Ls.

A poor build? I mean, sure it's not all forged components, but these kinda builds have been proven to work really well. Bottom-ends like his are great for the budget builder. With more money into the head, there's no doubt that thing will move. Plenty of setups running 12s and a few doing 11s with "poor builds" such as his.

That was my thought exactly. Hes lucky its still running. You need to to tune the ecu to run that motor. Its gotta be STARVING for fuel.

why don't you read before you speak..

And OP if you also took the time to read a lil, you'd know a 2.0 needs more fuel than a 1.6 ya big dummy

guys we have located the problem
My b20 does not have vtec :D i was confused before becouse the ecu changes the maps in the high revs and the engine gets richer and runs better but in fact we have no vtec
so today we will open the headto see where the problem is because we have checked the vtec valve we have checked the outer oil line so the problem is somewhere in the head

my vtec is not working
i have checked first the ecu and the problem is not there
i have checked the outer oilline and it is capable of 3bar oil pressure so the problem aint there
so tommorow i am planing on checking if i have not lost during the asembly one of the pins locking the rocket arms or if any of the oil lines for the vtec inside the head are clogged

and i am asking for an advice if there is anything else that can be the caouse of the problem
