I have a question for those who have installed keyless actuators in a Civic DX.
My question is where did you put them in the doors?
I installed everything a while ago but the actuators arent in the right spot and hit the door panels which made it quite hard to put the door panels back on, and roleing the down the window is a lot harder now.
My window crank broke a couple days ago, so now I am back trying to find a spot to put the damn things, so everything fits correctly.
Any tips? I can post a pic of the door if that helps anyone.
Thanks Guys!

tough one you gotta figure out on your own.
i've mounted them behind the arm rest and used steel pull rods i fabbed up myself.
no pics tho, sorry
i can tell you that iirc.. mounting them on the back side of that metal inner skin is near worthless.. i couldn't get them to not interfere with the window to save my life. i had to mount them on the front and make a hole for the linkage to go through.

used oem from junkyard. wired them up with relays like aftermarket. they use 3 small screws per side. #1 phillips bit.

This is turning out to be a bigger pain in the *** then I thought.
And then I would be buying DEI actuators.
After looking around at my door and my actuators It looks like it will be a huge pain in the *** to them in that little spot. Manly due to the size of the actuators.
If I put them where I want them they hit my window
I just got off the phone with best buy and cartoys they want $50 for the smaller DEI 525N actuators. Now I just need to decied if it really is worth blowing another 50 bucks on this crap.

I did something like that, I got everything done and it works fine, got what I wanted. My windows are no easy to role up and done.
I will post pics Of before and after in a few minutes.

This is where I had them before today.

This is where they are now.

With the actuators in that place, this little thing gets in the way. When the door panel was on, it pushed the actuators into the window and mad it impossible to role down more then a couple inches.
The fix was to trim a little off of it.

i paid $15.00 for each of mine from a civic ex at the junkyard 8 years ago and have never failed me. They are super quiet and never need adjustment. Glad u figured it out.
Yea, mine are loud as hell, they even seem to be louder in there new spot.
To above: No problem man, I may even make a DIY or something.
It's really easy, however Dont use a razor blade to cut that thing, I have a hole in my finger becuase of it. It's quite hard, I have no idea what it is or what it does.

So which actuators do u have? DEI? or a different kind?
Cuz the one in the firs pic looks different than the latter pics.
I have had DEI and stock. The DEI's are super super loud although small enough that no modding was needed, I would never buy them again, cuz I also have bought oem and u can buy a shoebox full of them for 5 bucks at a junkyard
Its good that u found a solution but for next time....
the oem actuators are cheap, fit perfect, and are smooth and quiet.

Is there a good DIY thread of this whole process around anywhere? It looks pretty simple but I'm just curious.
I couldn't find one with pic's after a hour or 2 of searching.
It really is simple, a pain in the ***, but simple.
The hardest part is runing the wires.
I'm sure I could answer questions, I did mine by my self.

That is a pretty good one.
I used the dei 451m and I highly reccomend getting that, very simple to wire up!
Not to mention cheap.
The actuators in the write are the ones I was going to get.
In my pic's the actautors are the same as before, however I have 2 different ones, 1 in each door.
