my car threw a code i went to my tech to see what it was and his computer said turn power on. i have been looking through the cd7 and cd9 manuals and the cigarette lighter is on the same circuit, the diag. port feeds off the cigarette lighter power. my cigarette lighter isnt working and all fuses and connections are good there is a relay for the cigarette lighter it is an mitsuba rc-2201 but i dont know if that is going to fix the issue

 

its sounds completely stupid but check yer cig lighter fuse..

i had this problem on my chevy maybe its the same

 

i already checked everything im gonna shoot towards the relay if it dont fix it i will take it back

 

the power for the diagnostic port comes directly off the battery. relay should not be involved. you most likely have a blown fuse or a break in a wire.
