Icon2 Routing power cable in 2011 CRV SE ?

I am an Amateur Radio operator and need to route a power cable through the firewall to reach the battery. This is my 2nd honda. Just traded my '06 Element EX-P to get this CRV (2011 SE). I have been researching for a couple weeks on how to route the power cable and havent had any success. Any of the options I have found done seem to apply to the 2011 SE. Looks like Honda did some re-engineering on this model year.

Would appreciate any suggestions on getting the power cable through the firewall. Want to go through the existing holes if possible. Drilling through the firewall isnt an option that I am comfortable with pursuing at this point.

Thanks
Ron

There's should be a hole with a grommet already. Refer to page 19 and 20 of this installation instructions for a remote control engine starter.

Redbull:

Thanks for the help. After 4 hours of working on this, I can get the cable from the battery to the grommet you mentioned. I have hit the next stopping point. I got the grommet removed and see two paths. If I go straight back, I dont really see that going anywhere. The other path is another hole about 90 degrees up from the grommet hole. In doing what probing I can with the tools at hand, I cant find an exit point. I looked on the inside (after damaging the panel that goes over the gas and hood latch mechanisms - will have to replace that at some point) and cant find the corresponding hole to get to that point.

Suggestions ?

Do you see a grommet for the hole right next to the fuse box?

Thanks for the pictures. I have been re-reading the manual the you sent me to. Will have to look again for the interior hole. It shouldnt be too difficult (I hope). Thanks for being patient with me. Hope to be able to work on this again when I get back home from running some errands.

This appears to be a lost cause. Spent another 2 hours and the hole shown in the diagram either isnt present or is filled with wiring to where I cant use it.

Found another path but couldnt from inside the passenger compartment to the wheelwell either. Never had this much trouble before.

Guess I will have to take it to the dealer or do without the radios.

Thanks,
Ron

Should have kept the E. It had a nice hole right above the hood latch handle on the inside.
