Hey guys, new here and kinda new to the honda scene. Always loved cars, especially hondas.
Ok to start, I have a 99 LX sedan, and I know the cat is bolted right after the header and then has the collectors(right?). but now I want to buy new headers(are Megan Racing any good compared to DC?) My question is how am I going to run the cat? I would like to keep the OE cat cause I would like to pass smog, and high flow ones don't let you pass smog(from what I read). Then I to upgrade to a cat back down the line after headers.
Is there any way to run the setup I mentioned without breaking the bank?
Does anyone have and LX that can tell me about the set up they run(headers,cat,exhaust)

Get the DC... DC > megan... Go to any exhaust shop and have them put an aftermarket catalytic ( magnaflow or w.e. ) in after the header.

 

For a 99 LX with the stock D16Y7 engine, the header and cat are a single unit.
