Default oil control orifice on h22a4 block

I am building an H22A4 turbo engine. I originally bought the block from someone bare bone with only darton sleeves in it. This block had an oil control orifice in it where the oil goes from the block to the head. So I kept it in there and have closed it all up and installed my head. Now I do more research and realize the H22A4 does not come with an oil control orifice, so I do not know why mine came with one. My question is, will I have problems if I leave it in there? I heard of vtec not engaging because the H22 head already has oil control orifices.

H22's shouldn't have one in the block. That oil control orifice is for the H23.

damn i already torqued down my cometic head gasket. So I should unbolt the head and remove control orifice? And then I will have to buy a new gasket again?

take the head off and remove the oil control oriface. you can reuse the head gasket but you have to spray it with aluminum paint that permetex makes. Although it is safer to just buy a new gasket.
