Holy hell this is no good
My motor is making a insanely loud knocking noise, The car will run at idle But when i drove it for ten mins The noise kept getting louder then the car shut off when i let off gas.And It produces No power in any gear above first. What could this possibly be!!?!?! Help PLEASE
#1 You already have a thread for essentially the same problem, you didn't need to start a new thread.
#2 Thread title should have been specific, keep that in mind for future threads.
#3 Don't drive it anymore. Chances are really good that you'll do even more damage by continuing to drive it.
#4 If you haven't already, check your valve lash clearances.
#5 If that doesn't help, try to pinpoint where the knocking noise is coming from. If it's the block, you have done some serious damage.
I know you just lost your job and all, but it doesn't sound like your engine is in good shape. Be prepared to spend some cash.

Seems to be coming from the head thats where i can mainly here it. The valve lash clearance isnt great its more of like .0025 and low numbers not .006 or .007
would i really make that loud of a noise, And could it have started cause the oil cap was off?

No not cause the oil cap was off. Just get another head before you do more damage to the motor. Its a guy from altoona with spare motors and heads and he's really cheap. Look in the for sale threads for a EF part out. Or just do the mini me swap. Nows a good time.
