Default need advice: purchasing an 89 crx si

89 crx si (red)
199,XXX miles
exterior and interior are in very good shape
a/c not working
1 owner
clean title
1 yr old clutch
rebuilt head
price $1,900

is this a good deal? thanks in advance for your expert advice.

Talk him down to 1,400 - cuz that a/c sucks! And it has SO many miles on it!

1400 is a good price if youre plannin on running the rex stock... if not, get yourself a blow POS and build it... cost ya less than 400

my plan is to replace the engine next summer because i will have no more cash left when i purchase the car. the body is in very good condition(no rust) and i dont want to deal with body repairs. any thoughts?

Check the sunroof! Open it and close it several times! Every CRX Si I've bought has had a messed up sunroof. I'd say that is a very fair price however, based on what I've paid for CRX's.

Make sure that you get underneath the rear of the car and look up into the bumper and quarter panels for rust. If it really has no rust, a nice interior, and runs properly (no smoke) it would definitely be worth $1900.

rust!!!!!!!!!!!! look for rust around the fender wells and sunroof!
