anyone strip their accord before..?
although the turbo kit hasn't gone in yet (**** YOU DRAG), i have been thinking of doing some weight reduction at some point... accords have been known for being heavy as shiet so losing a few pounds probably sounds like a good idea... in the future, the things that i may buy are a carbon fiber hood and racing seats (like sparco bucket seats or something)... but i was thinking more along the lines of what's currently on the car and taking shiet out (save a buck or two)... anyone strip their accord before..? i have a 4dr sedan so i'm reluctant about the rear seats... but come to think of it, i haven't had a passenger in the rear seat for the longest *** time... is it easy to take them out now and put them back at a much later time if i need to? a friend of mine suggests taking out power steering (i dunno about that) and the A/C (i don't think so)... the spare tire is already gone cause when my car was broken into a long *** time ago, they took the headunit, spare tire, jack, tools, and my fake armani sunglasses (basturds!)... i know there's like this tar shiet under the carpeting right...? any ideas..?
4doorh22.. i think thats his name.. sorry bud... he has an accord with like a gallon bucket and a 6*9 in the back. i think thats it.. lol. find him
Rear seat is only held in by 4 bolts, takes ~5mins to remove.
I have completely stripped 2 Accords, dash, headliner, everything and put it all back in, if you have any other questions just ask.

oh... my... god... at first glance i think of a jacked car that's been stripped... don't you need a front seat to drive in..? also, at what point is it illegal to strip parts of your car..?

is that what the rear seats of a coupe looks like after being stripped..? shoot-if i take my rear seats out of my 4dr, i guess they can seat on metal seats-haha... i'll leave the seatbelts as a courtesy... j/k... where are the bolts located to remove the seats and how do i access the bolts..?

you have to take out the front seats to get the carpet out...but i mostly just rode around with two front seats...
i did get pulled over once for expired tags and the cop was dumbfounded...
he searched the car, tried to say i stole it...etc etc...his words:
"i just dont understand why the car is stripped like this"
i told him for racing, but ya know, cops dont listen to you.
Fold the seat down. Now look at where it hinges down. There's the bolts for that part. Once you get the back off the bolts for the actual seat are right there too (at the back). Once you find the first two and take them off it will make perfect sense and next thing you know you'll have a whole crapload of stuff ripped out.
yes this is a coupe without back seats...it really doesn't lose much weight this way because it is really just a foam cushion that you are sitting on and a padded back...but it is around 15-20 lbs total...not too bad...but not great either...the seatbelts are heavy though...anyways...the bolts for the backrest (on coupes at least) are on the side...just fold down the seat and you will see them if you are sensible...after you remove this there is a single bolt in the middle for the butt cushon at the back of the seat and then there are two clip like things holding it in from there that need to be maneuvered out...good luck!
What the hell would you wanna do that?
Why not just sell your slow *** car and get something else?
Accord isn't for racing you know?

answer to your second question= i'm not the typical person (such as yourself) to just sell my slow *** car and get something else like an RSX... personally, i think it would be a fun project/hobby to hook up a slow car (like an accord) and try to beat a faster car (like an RSX)... wouldn't it suck if i bought a fast car and got whupped by a family car, sedan, etc..?
answer to your third question= accord isn't for racing..? streetracing is fo' everyone yo..! come one, come all-come as you are..! (r.i.p. kurt...) everyone races civics and integras but almost anything else is considered an underdog... the reason why accords aren't for racing is cause not a lot of people take the road less traveled...
