Upper idler puller siezed? ep3
The past 2 days I've been hearing a funny sound from the motor, first I thought it was the tranny, then noticed it this morning while it was warming up at idle and it got pretty loud. I couldn't pin point it until the inevitable happened on the way home from work when I hear a loud bang and something dragging under the car. the battery light goes on and I pull over asap. Pop the hood and notice the serp belt is hanging from under the car. I'm less than a mile from a honda dealer so I limp the car there and after further inspection I find the upper most idle pully had snapped off the bracket taking a small portion of the bracket with the pulley, somehow the pully and bracket fused together and I guess after time finally siezed up causing the belt to rip the pulley off. Anyone hear of this before?
Yeah thats first for me also... Mine is actually making a little noise now, its due for replacement. Im actually saving up for the ktuned idler pulley, it allows for some adjustment.
