Looking for a Plasma Cutter...Need Input
I was wondering if any of you guys on here had much experience with the Thermal Dynamics plasma cutters. I'm currently looking for something a bit more stout that my current setup.
I'm looking to cut .5" with an acceptable quality finish (minimal slag/burn marks etc.) Frankly I don't have any experience with them my self and have heard some good things, the plasma I sold was a Miller.
As of right now I'm debating between possibly purchasing the Cutmaster 52 or possibly the 82, the reason being that in the future I could see there being a need for me to do a bit more than cut about .5". I'm open to checking out other machines just need a bit more input
Any input or recommended machines, would be greatly appreciated, I'm just wondering what other people's experiences are.
Thanks for your .02!

I'm running a hypertherm powermax 45 inverter on a torchmate 2x2 cnc table.
I am super happy with the powermax 45. Its a very capable machine. I would strongly recommend checking out hypertherm.

for a really clean cut I would go with the 82 thermal dynamics or a similar in hypertherm.
I have a 52 and yes it will cut 1/2 but not as good as the 82 will.
