I got my ebay jdm n1 exhaust installed today sounds good nice deep tone. Meineke said the piping and install was all good. But I hear a whistle noise when accelerating between 2500 ish rpm and 3 to 3500 anyone ever heard of this with n 1 doesn't sound like an exhaust leak. Kinda sounds like a fake bov or somethinn

 

Is the brand eBay? or "JDM"?

It's a feature. To let everyone know you got that JDM on your ride. It's ALL fake. It's not a real N1 system. It's not real JDM. It's Ebay. No of of them are the same.

BTW. My BOV Doesn't whistle. It wooshes.

Mine makes the same noise in that rpm range but mine is a n1 style megan. I was wondering myself though i had a leak or something

 

Do you have a TB spacer?

Don't hate for me asking people you never know...ebay jdm muffler might go hand and hand with a tb spacer.......

 

my hatch does the same thing but i have a catback invidia N1 style exhaust with a 4-1 header and test pipe cant figure it out

Mine started to do something similar after I cleaned out my intake mani and tb. No change to the exhaust side of things.

 

okay first off im broke so i bough an ebay N1 style exhaust and the listing said JDM N1 style cat back exhaust so **** the haters. im broke and my whole exhaust was rotted out and i went with a cheap one hate if u want idc it sounded better then the rotted out midpipe and hole in my muffler...ill be swapping the axleback out for a vibrant or flowmaster soon enough basically just using the piping which i was told was decent.

Lol not being rude...but they make a "whistle" at similar rpms and I guess might be more evident if you put a different exhaust on?

 

My friends ebay exhuast did this, could never figure it out. He then got tired of it, when we went to take it off we found a couple little holes around the flange metting the header.
Doubt this would do it, but none the less there were holes, it is possible.

By the way, if it is on ebay and says JDM, and doesnt have OEM (not OEM STYLE) somewhere near it, it is likely a sign it is junk.

 

all i have to say is don't get all bent out of shape. honestly in probably a year you'll be back on about a different ebay exhaust cuz your old one rotted out.

no idea what it is. jack the car up have a friend accelerate to 25-3k rpm and see if you can find the whistle. jeez that was a hard idea to think up.
