Default head gasket removal

I'm replacing mine on my stock d16 because is was blown. I removed it and the thing is glued on the block side and head side and destoyed. The question is what is the best way of getting it of, scaping was my first bet but I don't want to damage anything. Any suggestions on how to get this clean. Thanks

Default Re: head gasket removal

nice job with the double-post dingleberry.

the best and most efficient way to remove the old hg material is to use an angle air grinder with a fairly high grit pad, or a roloc pad from 3m.
