Default 91 Accord Motor build

Was trying to see what would be the best motor swap for this car....got it for 150 non running and was thinking it was a good time to put a better engine in it, especially for a nice sleeper

need more info.i guess u have a cb7.most people looking to do a reliable swap usally go with h22.are u looking to get the car running or for performance?just to get it running get a junk yard motor.performance get h22.i have a frank motor boosted.depending on what you wanna do,it gets expensive.also f series makes good power to.it would come down to how much dollars you can spend.imo

If you want to boost, get a F22. If you're staying NA, I'd go with a JDM 2.3L H23A VTEC for more torque. If you do get an H23A VTEC, with the right combination bolt-on will net you over 200whp with a H22 5spd trans.

Good Luck!

if your just looking for more power on a tight budget you should get a h23 non vtec to start from. i have a 91 cb7 as well and im swapping an h23a1 into it soon then adding headerback exhaust, short ram intake, then chipping and tuning the ecu. its gonna cost me under $800 and ill be looking at a dramatic hp increase. also if you wanted to bulid up the h23 non vtec in the future you can always upgrade and put an h22 head on the car and add the vtec components to make it a h23 dohc vtec. h22 will cost more and will be much slower than a built h23 vtec
