WTF. Hole in resolator
2000 civic si.
I just bought it completely stock. I notice loud noise while driving and thought it was muffler so i looked underneath the car and found that piping after catalytic converter is hangin too low. Previous owner must have rubbed the resonator on his driveway. Now there is a hole in resonator. I can see exhaust gas coming out of that hole.
Is there any way to fix this hole without replacing whole resonator? can a muffler shop just weld the hole?

I am talking about the small bulging pipe between muffler and catalytic converter ( is that what we call resonator?). This pipe is closer to cat. A muffler wont be long enough.
yes, that is the resonator, a foot or 2 past the cat.
If you are cheap, just buy the $10-20 pipe section, some clamps, and 2 joints at autozone
a small muffler is easier to attain then an actual resonator. hell, autozone or farm and fleet will have one for cheaper then having a garage change your oil
