Has anyone ever put a EG dash into an EK?
I know EK dashes and Integra dashes have been made to fit into EG's but what about the other way around?
I personally like the way that the EK hatchback looks over the way a EG hatch does, but I don't like the dash on the EK as much as I like the dash on the EG.
Has anyone ever seen this be done before? If so, some pics would be great.

 

Im pretty sure the days of the chassis to chassis dash swap is over I.E. the Integra dash into an EG chassis. Personally I would not want to see an EG dash in an EK chassis. That would just like crappy IMO.

I just don't like the simple lines of the EK dash as much as I like the EG dash.
I know people don't like to convert newer models with older models, but I think it would make for an interresting interior.

Never seen it done. You can be the first. These cars are dirt cheap now so parts should be relatively inexpensive.

 

I think it'd be something different. Something original.
I'd like to know how similar the mounting points would be, what the fitment would be like, and how it would match up with the door panels.

 

You can be the first then and do a write up, but having owned a 97 EJ8 and all EJ1's aside from that I can tell you that reverting back to the 92-95 dash will look shitty. I never even liked the Integra dash in an EG. I just like the simple modifications in the interior. I never cared for swapping in a climate console etc etc. The optional audio console and JDM arm rest is the only interior mods my EJ1 will see aside from my BRIDE seats...that's just me though. Do it and see how it turns out. Just dont be surprised when it doesnt look how you thought it would.

 

I'm not a fan of Integra dashes whatsoever.
The point of me creating this thread is to see if it has been done and how it looks.
I'm not about to murder a perfectly good car without doing my research beforehand.

 

the 6th gen dashboard looks better then the 5th gen dash

I suggest looking elsewhere to jazz up your interior. headliner rewrap, door panel rewrap, maybe some color change on the dashboard, subtle but effective, etc...

 

I just don't like the simplicity of it, its too blend for my taste.
