Replacing ball joints on a crx [gsr front suspension]
Hey guys I've got a 1990 CRX with an GSR front brake swap (knuckles, upper and lower control arms, forks etc) and I need to replace my ball joints. I took it to a local shop and the guy didn't want to replace them for me because the suspension wasn't original to the car. Anyone had this problem before? Should I just take it to another shop? I was thinking maybe I could buy the replacement ball joints and take it to a shop and not tell them it's off an integra. Or just do it myself...
Anyone in Socal know a shop that would do it for me?

take off the entire knuckles and have a local machine shop press them in for you for cheap...while your at it, it might be a good idea to press in new wheel bearings also...!!!
just do it yourself it takes 30 min a side i used a 2 lb hammer and hit the bolt about ten times and it popped out of coarse after taking the snap ring of the top. if i remember right the gsr ball jionts are the same as a crx shouldn't matter which you buy double chech though. now putting the new ball jionts in a just used a 32ish size socket forget exact size just big enough to rest out the outside diameter or the ball joint and tap it in really easy
Or you could just borrow the ball joint removal tool from an auto parts store and do it the right way instead of hammering away. I did mine with the tool and was done in less than an hour. Of course I cleaned the knuckles as well during this hour
