Falken Ziex ZE-512 tires... good or bad?
i know falken has a good series of tires... and some 205 50 15s are on sale for ONLY $58. are these good tires to get? anyone have em? traction is important to me.. but also daily drivability is, too. i dont want to get some azenis and have to change em out by the end of the year.. i need some good treadwear and wet/dry traction. i have crappy *** michelins for tires right now.. so anything is better than those pieces of ****.

I just got the falken 512's last week and the place told me they only have H rated. Sidewalls flex a lot but yea they got pretty good treadwear. I don't know if they grip good cuz i havent tested em yet

So you decided to keep your stockers huh? I had the 502s and they were okay. Decent grip fairly soft sidewall and 300 treadwear. Drove those for a year and will pobably have them for another.
I'd suggest another tire for you esp. since you're boosting. JMHO though.
I have a buddy who had the 512's and they're "okay". Still a lot of wheelspin though.
If you can do it, mount a set of azeins on a set of 14" steelies and roll around with "normal tires" on your rims. That is if money is not an option.
Good luck hope it helps.

thanks for the feedback on the tires. im just wondering if these falkens are similar to kumhos... cuz i found a good price on these falkens for $60 each. i was thinkin about doin the different combo set. azenis for race... and regular tires for daily drivin.
... or possibly azenis on the front... falkens on the rear.
With the azein up front and falkens on the rear, you would have an extremely tail happy car. You could literally drift all day long with that setup.
the azeins will overpower the car's natural tendency to understeer and the tail will whip out pretty easily.
I saw a vid of a del "slo" with race tires up front and michelins (stockers in back) just drifting left and right left and right with ease. Pretty fun if you ask me but might be a bit tricky to negotiate in the real world.
Good luck mang
