ok so the plan was to turn my dd. into a street/ track car, which is kinda difficult.

at the moment it has a little sohc-t which is pretty fun, i came across an ls long block for cheap so picked it up.

then picked up this aswell

got to work on the engine..




so since i had decided i was going ls vtec i started to order goodies! from some vendors here.



and then i got an awsome deal on a complete car!



today the sohc swap got sold!!!


two hrs later engine was on the floor.



i will be updating as soon as the parts and progress gets done.
any comments suggestions are welcome
goal is to make 500whp on boost.

 

nice project. i have something similar im about to start. mine is a black ek. gsr block, ls crank, b16 head shooting for a low 10sec oem sleeve set up. tuning it on e-85. looking forward to your work man. best of luck.

DFR is just a small shop started by two friends and i who are fellow enthusiast of the tuning world. we all know each other for about 5-10 yrs. and we decided to get some money together and set something out. its small but we know we have to start some where. and this is the beginning of my project.

Got some more parts in this week 2011 is coming in goood :D
picked up an AEM fuel rail FPR n Steel braided line.


then i saw a what was supposed to be a CTR tranny for sale. took an hr drive to go see it and it ended up been an open diff tranny. only catch was it had no stamp on it just a YSK1 on it.... took a chance and bought the tranny for cheap came home and researched n the YSK1 only ment the casing stamp so after much researched i found a way to find out how to tell if its a ls or gsr tranny by turning the clutch and watchin the axel input ........long story short i got me a GSR tranny W shift linkage all for an awesome $180!!!!!




also a sneak peak at the eg hatch we are building at the shop aswell.

Dang good come up on the tranny and that eg looks like a k series monsta in the makings

 

thanx yea tranny was super luck. and the eg should be super sick once its done.. u can actually pick up the car by back of how light it is. lolz.

UPDATE: Head got sent to the machine shop
on the other hand took some time to take the shift linkage off and the " bitch pin " which was kind of a bitch bt got it out lolz.

UPDATE: First update i got the head back from the machine shop , also valves, springs, and retainers are in the head!


Also got some skunk 2 adjustable cam Gears for the head.

took out the dash, started deleting all the ac/heater stuff also the air bag system.


also since dash was out took out the dash harness and tackle that headache

couldnt find the ctr/itr cams i was looking for so i stepped up the game to these

UPDATE

got a mishimoto radiator with slim fan that came on the car.


all the interior is taken out this weekend i should get the dry ice to remove the sound deadning and it would go into paint right after! cant wait

 

WOW havent updated in a while so let me give a run down of whats happend since the last update!

First of all we moved bays... moved into a bigger place hopefully for the better place to keep our cars and others.

now onto the project harness is all put back together.
got some parts in the mail today!

then i also received this bad boy !!!




car should be going to paint within a week or two! stay tuned for more updates!
