cammed GSR motors? enquire within!
So im looking at dropping a set of Buddyclub spec 3 cams in my GSR swapped EG and was wondering if anyone could post up their opinions on them and better still some videos or sound clips because im curios to know if and how it affects the idle and VTEC engagement. Some people tell me the idle is lumpy while others say it is not affected.
Would be a big help..thanks!

Buddy Club Spec 3 cams are a bit of an older cam. Much if anything you will find will be on Team-Integra or on here from about 7-9 years ago. They are a just better than ITR cams. They provide a nice improvement in the mid range and some peak improvements.
Like fstgsr said, they are an older cam design but work pretty well for mild engines. Ive been running a set for about 25k miles now in 2 different setups. They are not a drop in cam though. You will need to degree them or setup on a dyno to get the most out of them. They will not make much power at 0,0.

A cars idle quality is directly related to how well your car is tuned, regardless of the cams you're running (with exception to VTEC killer style cams). If it "lopes" at idle, it isn't tuned properly.
Sound? you do realize that the air intake you run and exhaust system has complete control over the sound a car makes don't you? Cams will not make a noticable difference in the sound your car will make, nor will they determine how loud a car will be.
VTEC engagement is dependant on where YOUR motor likes it to be. Aftermarket caams usually benefit from an increase in that engagement point, but only dyno tuning will show you where exactly.
If you want to know the power you might make with those cams, this is the section to come to and you'll want to start off in the FAQ section at the top of this forum and look at the dyno threads.

my bad on the lack of details, but i already have a 4-1 header with a 2.5" exhaust, with a skunk 2 IM, 65mm TB and a tuneable ECU, so cams should make a noticble difference if i drop them in with Supertech springs..
As mentioned, even though they are an older design, they are great for mildly modified motors.
Second, there are a LOT of threads on this forum that discuss them and a number of dynos have been posted. If you spend a few minutes searching, you will have enough information to make a decision yourself.
