i have a 89 honda civic sedan with a jdm d15b swap that has a four speed tranny. will my d15b2 5 speed tranny fit with no problem ? if not what will i need ?

 

Yes.

 

just make sure the tranny and the clutch you are using are from the same year (splines are different)

 

88 civic trannys are 21 spline and 89-91 are 20 fyi

In a way I got ripped off cuz the guy told me it was a 5 speed when it was really a 4 but then again I only paid 130 for the d15b block that was pretty clean inside and tranny and harness with the intake manifold works great just kinda bum that I swapped the engine in with the 4 speed.

most of my friends with 5 speeds never go into the 5th gear? and then the get on me about my 4 speed lmao...ps 2nd gear is the most fun! pulled on ma friend in a crx with a ls swap on a 2nd gear rolling start. and i had a b1 dpfi lmao
