Drivetrain noise after new clutch installation
So I just had my clutch and flywheel replaced about 3 days ago. It was awesome and ran great. I had no problems at all, aside from learning a new clutch, and then all of a sudden today I started to get a whirling sound coming from the front left side of the car. I turned off the road thinking that it was a tire issue and it was not. When I start to accelerate there is no noise at all until I reach about 30-40MPH. Once I get up to speed and ease off the gas the sound starts up until the car is at a dead stop. I push in the clutch and the sound is still there. If I try to speed up then the sound gets louder. When I turn slightly to the left the sound stops. When I turn to the right the sound persists.
Do you think that this could be a drivetrain issue? Im hoping that it is something that the mechanic did wrong while replacing the clutch and he will cover it. At the same time I would hate to call this guy and tell him that his work is bad because I have trusted him for along time with my car.
A little more history on the car. I had the CV Joints replaced at about 220k miles. It is now at 260k miles. I dont think that it is time to replace them again really.
Thanks for any help you can offer.

My mechanic also told me that my brakes were bad. I need to get the rotors replaced this time because the last guy did a pad slap and never turned the rotors. Is there a possibility that maybe there is something in my breaks that could be causing this noise? It seems like it it getting worse the more I drive it. Im going to have to take my motorcycle out of hibernation I think.
my 93 accord ex had a 94 sohc vtec swap done. the engine runs great but the trans is shifting hard. the guy i got the car from put the 93 trans back in. he said he didnt change the tcu could that be the problem.
I would saywheel bearing when he pulled axle out and put back in just messing with it could have got a lil play but its not really his fualt they wear out just tampering with it makes it quicker
Definitely wheel bearing. It makes a whirring/roaring sound that starts getting bad around 30 mph, getting progressively worse at you speed up and as the bearing gets worse. This is not something u can put off as your wheel could fall off as the bearing disintegrates.
