questions about Hoosier Sportsman tires...
are they drag radials or slicks??? i just bought them (for 50 bucks
) and he said they were radials but they dont have all the markings that are normally on DOT tires. all that it says on the tires is: Hoosier Sportsman 23.0/7.0-13
thanks for the help!...

There DOT street lagal but there not radials there bias ply like slicks. My friend has a pair on his stang. There a good street legal tire if you don't do alot of driving on the street with them. My friend barly drives his stang only to the track and like twice a week just to pick up his kids from school. They only last like 5-10k mi. They grip better than drag radials but not as good as slicks. They atleast are useable in the rain unlike ET streets. those will spin even if you drive like a granny in the rain. They also have a stonger sidewall then ET streets. The ET streets tend to hop alot while taking turns. My friend doesn't heat them up too much and he gets a pretty good launch but he could do alot better if they were hotter. I don't know if its the same on a front wheel drive car. If you want to use them as an every day driver I would suggest a pair of nitto DR's
Well hope you like them when you get them on your car.

yeah i bought them to run at the track not really on the street at all, but i would like to take them for a spin to get to know them a little first. thanks for the info!
Where am I on deals for tires. There is a guy sellin slicks on ebay but are way too big for use on my prelude. he sells sets for like $30 for 2 tires. I need to locate a cheap set of slicks for testing. If anyone has a cheap set of slicks race only tires let me know.
