Default EF wiring madness

i have a 1990 ef hatch. I have a ls motor ready to drop in. The problem is, all these wires are giving me a headache.

wires are all over the engine bay and i have no idea where they go.

With that being said, what do i do next.
Do i try to find a stock uncut dx harness?
Find an uncut ls harness?
Will a ef si harness work?
do i try to sort all of these wires?
or rip all these wires out and start from scratch?

i really need help. Any responses are greatly appreciated, thank you

well it depends on what wires your talking about being everywhere. if its the engine harness and its been hacked by some idiot. then i would just start over with an uncut harness. if its more then just the engine harness thats messed up it might be easyer to fix if your good with wireing. if your going to replace an engine harness you have to get the one that matches the car. if you have a dx get a dx harness. an ls or si harness wont work in a dx car. if you do have a dx then you gota rewire the original dx harness for mpfi.

if you need to get another harness get the one that matches your car. ls is out of the question. post pics of what these wires look like,

under the dash looks a little better but is still mixed up a bit. The previous owner soldered a whole bunch of wires and stuff.

lets start off this way. what is the exact model car your working with?

no ITS A EF HB crap. what exact year and model? if its a dx, then state it as a 90 dx. from there we can better determine what you need to get your car rolling again.

yaaaaaa trust me a full body harness swap will be your best bet. you only need the front half though unless the back harness is fubar, the front harness plugs into the rear harness under the dash. but yeah pick up a "fresh" dx (or si if you want to make it simpler) front body harness and engine harness and the convert to mpfi (unless you got an si set up) then go from there

if your harness is hacked up get a new one, but if all the stock plugs are there....you can make it work...........jessedm's harness looks legit, and decent price
