Default Extra wear after it sits?

I don't drive my 07 so alot. I average 150 miles month. So when it sits for a week and i start it. Does it hurt the engine since most the oil proably settled to the pan? Causing bad friction when I initially start it. Till oil gets cycled through?

It will not hurt letting it stand a week or so, I think you should use a decent oil filter with a good anti drain back valve to help protect from a dry start, you could also add lucas oil stabilizer to help keep things coated for some extra protection, I like there products.

If you lived in the great white north I would suggest 0-20 oil, but you live a further south of me and the recommended 5 -20 for an EX or LX, and the 5-30 for the Si is fine in southern Pa.

I use purolator gold or pure one filters but any higher end filter is fine, I don't care for Fram prouducts but will use them if I have to in a pinch (if I can't possibly get anything else).

I know pa, especially this time a year can get pretty cold, having slot of cold and letting it sort weeks a time I'd be worried, but a long as its driven/ allowed to warm up completely atleast once a week I wouldn't worry, but if you have the time just start it and let it run ever couple days, this way you don't have to worry.
