Winter Air Pressures, Don't Forget Your Spare
Just a reminder - as temperatures drop, tire pressure drops as well - by roughly 1 psi for each 10 degree drop in temperature. For many of us, normal temperatures drop significantly this time of year. Don't forget to check your tire pressures and add air as needed to maintain the pressure you prefer.
Also - DON'T FORGET THE SPARE! The space-saver spare tire is supposed to be inflated to 60 psi. It may be out of sight, but don't forget to check it every once in a while. Better to check it now while you can get around, than find out it's too low when you have a flat out in the middle of nowhere.

I was just thinking about the seasonal air temp/pressure changes, as I was scooting along and playing with lift throttle oversteer (more than usual, empty tank) on the way home from work today!

Spare We don't need no stinkin spare... "famous last words"
Otherwise, I bring my spare along for the ride.
I know, I know I just had to add that...
Tongue in cheek all the way.
Thanks for the informative reminder.
A.
PS I'm not even driving her from the first snow till spring this winter. Lucky me... or maybe not.
PPS the spare reminder is VERY important. I know because I changed my wifes spare on when she got a flat last month and don'tcha know it was 45 PSI instead of the printed 60. Had to go air it up Before I was able to get the flat repaired. totally agreed witht eh spare thing man.

I find that on my car that sits all winter, it loses about 5 psi in each tire just due to time.
