So my bro and I installed the H-Tech's about two weeks. Everything went smoothly just had a little trouble getting the top hat off because we didn't have the right tool to fit the allen wrench and the 17mm to get the nut off. So we took it to tire shop and they were able to take the top hat nut in less than 20 seconds. When we tried to assemble the stock right strut and H-tech spring that said "R" the dust cover wouldn't align up with the top of the spring like on this pic:


So we grabbed the spring that says "L" and with that spring the dustcover did aligned up pefectly. So we just went with it and assembled them like that. Everything aligned up. So my question is: does it really matter what the letters on the H-Tech's say?
There are no clunks or noises. I do hear a lot more road noise though.

For what it's worth, I just put a set of KYB struts and shocks for an EX, to soften the ride on my Si, using the factory springs, and for some reason I had trouble getting everything back to the marks I made for alignment purposes.(on the right side only)

On mine the spring seat is slightly off, but the top aligned OK, like you I have no noises the car drives straight and everything else fits just like it should, the left side went together perfectly.

If the car sits right and drives right I wouldn't worry about it, I have about 2 or 3 thousand on the car so far since the shock/strut change and everything works fine.

The only thing I don't like about the EX shocks I do have a very slight lean on cornering
I may buy a set of thicker sway bars to stiffen it on corners.

 

Cool, so how do you like your ride? I'm not quite sure if the H-Tech are softer. Maybe changing to EX shocks will help??
