I know 4 customers that had there cars taken. 1 crushed, 2 given back to drive like normal, and one they pulled his plates and told he can never reg the car again. Its a headache. Buy yourself a r33. I doing the same. I just sold my project py itr due to the same reason and I just got it a couple weeks ago.
Research it and you will see why. Also the cops can keep the car up to 3 years to investigate it. And then give it back when there wrong. Court cost and tickets and worrying about it. Not my cup of tea. If its for off road use. Then be your own guest. They can't mess with you. When your reg it. Then they can.

i know a guy that bought a jdm rhd front clip for a cb7. spent months on end doing the conversion. then got it taken away from the cops.
i've heard stories about the vin tags on the firewall not matching the rest of the car, giving cops a reson to pull the car
but if you still wanna go through w/ the conversion, i've got a former co-worker that has his own shop and did a rhd firewall conversion in a k swapped dc. shop's located in La Puente. pm me if anything
