West coast "True street" builds/interest?
TS is huge over on the East coast, is there anyone interested in starting a class over here on the Other side of the country? 67mm 24.5 air to air 2450 etc.
this class is been called street competition. or s/fwd for many years. only rule change is the turbo has been restricted to 67mm from the 72mm.

I'm working on one now, I don't know if it'll done in time though, like always, money permitting. This is the only class I'm interested in. But I hope it gets more popular on this side. I'm interested too as to how many people are interested in competing in this class. Oregon.
Racers should show up first before demanding a new class. I mean what justifies making a class if racers arent even showing they are there to compete and show True Street cars are around. That was my rant in an earlier thread with people building cars for classes that dont exist in the area.
Cars "planned" or "being" built doesnt mean theyre ready to race. I bet someone $1000 that if there was a TS class put on in the first 3 events of the year, you're not going to get a full field of 8 cars in each one. Jeez show up first to the races and prove that the events can justify putting a new 67mm class together. Until then, deal with the classes that are around where you live.

I dont know what NHRA thing you're following, but most of us dont even race that. Not sure what area of the West Coast you are or if you are even in the area. But what most racers should plan for are IFO, BOTI, IDRC and CMI events in the West Coast. Don't follow that whole talk about True Street, etc. That may work over in the East, but from what I've seen in the West, most cars that are ACTIVELY racing, arent 67mm cars.
Like I was saying, classes arent made for cars being built. Its for cars already racing and show that they deserve a class of their own.
**** we raced with a 35r and won the class multiple times we did sponsor the first event boti threw the new class its about making a class for the guys who cant shovel out the money to compeate with the big power cars. now the fact is just support where you can. be a part of making our sport fun and full classes.
If there was a T/S class in IFO or the local heads-up classes we run in we would be in them. We are re-doing everything on the car this winter to hopefully make it more reliable and much faster. There isn't any T/S classes around us though so we'll keep running IFO and our local classes and just say our car is a "T/S" car lol
