Now this happened 3 times so far in two days. I would drive normal and come home and put the car in park as soon as I put it in park the idle would slowly go up to about 1500 rpm's and then stop.what do you guys think is the problem? It kinda sounds like it does it when the fan comes on but I'm mot sure. The car would shake and the idle would go up and down a little bit sometimes when I'm at a stoplight but not past 1000 rpms. Could it be fuel filter, throttle body has to be clean or is my tranny gonna go?

what year model is your car how many miles? idle problems can be caused by alot of things start by checking sensor's. it probably has nothing to do with your tranny homeslice
what is this year of the idle problems... shesh..

Sounds like just his fast idle valve... functioning properly. If it isn't idling rough or oscillating up and down then I doubt it is a problem with the idle.
It may be something going bad that causes the motor to run rough at normal idle such that the FIV has to kick in...

I'd check for vacuum leaks...
On every Accord with hunting idles I've worked on its been A. Vacuum leak, B. EACV, C. FIV. I will digress that my experience is with 1990-95 Accords.
Nothing more, nothing less.

is it possibly that I would have screwed up my vacuum when I installed my CAI? I rememeber unpluging hoses and sticking a cork in one, a little foam filter in another, and running the last one back into the itntake plus all the damn hoses on that Intake Silencer Crap Valve.
Its been SO LONG since ive seen a stock accord, but the only 2 hoses i remember on mine were one vacuum line near the TB going to.. ? (have to look at the vacuum diagram) and then the crankcase breather hose (which i just put a filter on). I only have 2 vaccum lines on my intake manifold, the rest are capped from removing all the smog crapola. 1 being MAP the other being IM->EGR pressure sensor.

whats the EACV and FIV? is that the FIA control solenoid?
FIV = open/closes as car warms up. Know how you start your car in the morning and it idles at about 1250-1500 until shes warm??? Well thats what does it. As the car warmed up and coolant beings to flow (thermostat opens) .. many things start to happen. Besides going into closed loop the FIV closes... anyway fun stuff.
If im wrong about anything please correct me! Once again my experience is older accords so.. designs may have changed over the years.
ps: hondas can be interesting cars to find vacuum leaks.. to say the least. most cars use a couple big hoses off the IM and goto a tree... honda gave almost every system requiring vacuum its own nipple/connection.

The car is a 97 accord with 92,xxx miles on it. Well it's okay now that I adjusted the IAV by the throttle.but the rpm goin up and down when it's in park is weird cuz it would just happen out of nowhere. In the last 2 days 2 times so far.just worried cuz I don't want the car to die while my wife is driving it.
