sorry I did not see your post. The owner of it before me said they stamped it on the 4.785 FD trans he bought and not the block. Does it matter where it came from anyway, its not like its stock?

 

it matters if its legit or not so yes it matters

 

Sorry I didn't see that you lived in California. It does not matter where I live which is why I said that. It is by no means stolen or anything if that is what your asking. I bought the block as a virgin with the mains and crank and I purchased parts + machining to get it to the point where it is now.
