Default 1996 Lx Wont Start When its Hot Out

My girlfriend has a 1996 Sedan.
F22, Automatic, Blah Blah Blah.

There is nothing really wrong with the car, except when its worm out (90+) or after a long drive the car wont start up again.

You turn the key over, all of the accessories work, fuel pump primes, etc. But it wont crank.
So i replaced the starter and the problem seemed to go away, the last week after we cam back from san fran, it did it again.
So under pressure from "peers" i replaced the alternator, even tho it tested out good. also checked the ground on the motor, frame rails, battery terminals, Etc.

And it still does it, every once an a while.
let it sit for a minute, and then it starts fine.
Are there any known issues that sound similar to my problems?
I have been an EF buy my whole Honda carrier. Never dug into Accords until just now.

Thanks In advance for all of the help!

The solder joints on your main relay are cracked.

Really? Wouldn't everything stop working? Not just power going to the starter?

the fuel pump wouldnt prime if the main relay wasnt working.
so the motor doesnt turn at all correct? timing & accesory belts + starter doesnt move at all correct? try a remote starter to the starter. If starters good this will turn it over.(means you have a problem elsewhere,I would look into testing the ignition key cylinder. ) If it doesnt turn over starters bad assuming you have good power.

Correct.
Everything works, except the motor wont turn over.
No starter solenoid clicking or anything.

The Starter and alternator are brand new
and all of the grounds are good.
And its really hard to test because it is so inconsistent!

I'm thinking the key tumbler too.
I just wasnt sure if there were any know faults/issues like this with the accords

i know what you by its hard to test when it doesnt do it all the time, haha. only thing i can really say is to make sure its not the starter have a multimeter onboard and when problem occurs check to see if a signal is going to the starter.
If i remember right their is a shifter switch or soemthing along those lines*somebody chime in here and verify* that can go bad. move the shifter in neutral(after pressin in shift lock) and see if the car starts then. If thats more consistent then that could be the problem. sorry i cant think of the name right now.

The technical term is a/t gear position switch. The starting system is a fairly simple one, and based on the inconsistencies of your issue, you have an electrical contact issue. Either a worn out ignition switch, a busted/corroded wire somewhere, or a bad ground. Check all the grounds and terminal for corrosion/oxidation.

I had a similar issue with my starter, and the problem was the ring terminal on the wire was oxidized. Some sandpaper and a half hours time solved the issue.
