Someone broke in to my 91 SI
I still have the temporary license plates on it. I think I registered it 6 days ago and someone already broke into it.
Well technically they just broke the back window and didn't steal anything. It had to be some random middle school punks just doing something stupid. They didn't steal the pile of RCA cables, the 1/0 power cable, the $1200 mbquart interior speakers, or the indash DVD player.
Crappy way to start a Wednesday.

Small car cover is like $80 - out of sight, out of mind
(if you don't have access to garage)
There are others, of course - just a sample.

I live it a quiet suburb 30 minutes outside of Chicago. Nothing really ever happens here and I live in a cul-de-sac.
I can't think of anything else but punk kids who wanted to do something cool and think they won't get in trouble if it's an older car. I was parked right next to my neighbors brand new beast F-250.
I know in the winter we used to throw snowballs at passing cars in the winter. We only threw them at older cars because we figured it would be a teenager or someone trashy who would chase us (the whole point of what we were doing). Yea it was immature and a dumb idea, but I was 12, and now I'm pretty sure I can put my head into the mind of a dumbass (I was one
)
I'm not sure about doing the car cover thing. Seems kind of like a pain in the butt for something I will drive every day and for a car that sits out in front of my house. Hell, I don't even cover my Z06. Thanks for the idea though, I actually might take that advice. Especially once all the subs and amps are in it, I don't want that to disappear, it'll be worth 4 times the price of the car

no tech, I just didn't see an Off Topic forum on the list. I post on 6 forums regularly and some are very strict about categories and some aren't. Apparently this one is?
hey I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to stop people from throwing things at my car/braking in/stealing it. Would there be anything I can purchase, maybe even like a piece of tech or technology related?
Thanks in advance. (Phew, I'm almost legit, I was worried)

Yea! But I don't even talk to people this time of the year. I wake up, work, eat, sleep, repeat. Who did I **** off?
I don't think people even knew it was my car if it was someone in my cul-de-sac. I don't park the car in my driveway, I park it in the little 8 car center lot, and just got it.
Maybe someone was pissed because it looks like an old abandoned car in their classy neighborhood. It'll look nice eventually but as of now it looks like a car a homeless person would live in. I'm ruining property values ;-)

Ya I would stop parking it in that parking lot. Definitely just some random ******* did it more than likely. Just park it in your driveway. You're begging someone to steal it from you basically.
