Default Emergency Brake Light comes on... any idea?

When I am driving with the emergency brake down (off), the emergency brake light on the dash comes up. I goes off when I step on the brake, but then comes back when I let go of the brake. What does this mean? This ever happen to anyone?

Nope never seen that one. Try loosening the tension on the adjuster for the handbrake.

weird...I had never heard of that before either, but it just started happening to me this week! I was just going to make a post here asking about it, even. The light comes on under pretty much any acceleration, then turns off while I'm coasting or braking.

I'd check the brake fluid level.. if its low (prolly means your pads are worn down too) that could cause the brake light to illuminate... also check to see all your bulbs are working and the connections are secure...

i had this problem twice and i just took to it acura to fix it. It should be the brake fluid. First time they didn't realize that or something so i took it back, but it came up again. Second time they checked the brake fluid and i havent had the problem since.

Thanks guys! I just took it to Acura today. I just wanted to know if anyone else experienced it b/c I don't want Acura to give me some BS about my car being modified.
